The Symmetry

Lots of times, the symmetric shape happens in the areas of architectures. Couple of weeks ago I visited State Capitol of Minnesota, which are considered as one of the Midwest's most spectacular buildings. The Capitol is more than 430 feet long, and 220 feet tall from ground level to the top of the dome's lantern. … Continue reading The Symmetry

A Sign of Colors’ Peak

The fall season at Minnesota is short, lasts for only a month, which is October. We didn't go far to see the fall colors this year, since we finally noticed that the colors around our neighborhood are just as stunning as those in national or state parks! The shore of Normandale lake, which is less … Continue reading A Sign of Colors’ Peak

A Calm Sunset

Summertime is always short at Minnesota.  The weather turns cooler and the daytime gets shorter.  Each night less and less people show up on the beaches along the lakes. Even strong sunlight during sunset is gradually taming down.  At this time of a year I am feeling calm and tranquil while photographing a sunset scene. … Continue reading A Calm Sunset

Satisfaction under the Summer Sunset

Sunset has been my favorite topic of photography during summertime. I usually walk around Bush Lake with my DSLR camera half an hour before sunset.  I like to capture the good times those families and friends are sharing, meanwhile I listen to their talks, laughs and even creaming. The follow group of photos are part … Continue reading Satisfaction under the Summer Sunset

The First Offer from the Earth at Spring

Spring is finally here, with snow melting away, sprouts of flowers breaking out of soil.  Here is the first flower I captured in this spring.  Photoshop was used to create a reflection of the tulip flower with dew drops on a black background. Aren't they the first offer from the Earth in this spring?

Surprise but Easy!

Swans are beautiful and elegant.  They bring us with their grace, peace and tranquility wherever they go.  I have photographed white swans many times, with a goal to capture the moment when they face each other to form a heart shape with their long necks.  However I have not been so fortunate. Last night while … Continue reading Surprise but Easy!

The Sunset at Early Fall

We are already in early fall.  With the leaves falling from tree branches, the temperature starts going south, especially in the morning. Having been photographing sunset scenes, I paid attention on the time of sunset everyday from the weather channel.  The time switches from close to 9:00 pm in the middle of June to 7:15 … Continue reading The Sunset at Early Fall

A Dinner in Sunset

Last summer I became obsessed to the photography in sunset.  This year soon after the weather at Minnesota starts warming up, I drive to the lakeside with my DSLR within an hour before sunset. Last night by chance I captured a couple enjoying their Dinnertime on the beach in the warmth of sunset.  I was sitting … Continue reading A Dinner in Sunset

The Reflection of Sky and Cloud

Finally the long winter at Minnesota seems ended.  Yesterday Ron and I took a walk around Normandale Lake.  When we were passing those buildings with glass wall, we were amazed by the reflection of blue sky and cloud on them.  I snapped a few shots. After processing, on the photos those buildings were served as … Continue reading The Reflection of Sky and Cloud
