Welcome to my blog!

What were the reasons for me to start this blog?

One of them was that I have a strong passion in writing since my childhood, instead of studying literature to become a writer, I followed my parents’ footstep to become an engineer.  But my old love has never faded away, on contrary, it is actually getting stronger with my experience getting richer.

So here I built my blog to fulfill my passion also to overcome challenges – writing stories in English (my second language) as well as in Chinese (my native language).

My ongoing writing spectrum can be broad, including anything from my career or daily life which can catch my eyes, touch my heart, offer me inspiration, strike my imagination, satisfy my fascination.

It originally took me a while to figure out a name for my blog, “From Hiding to Blogging“, which actually represented a “milestone” in my life – to break isolated personal space and to connect with the world!  I also selected a tagline for my blog, “My Essays for the Essences in Life“, which actually implied any topics I would write in my blog.

After blogging for a year and a half, I have made a significant progress in writing and connecting with WorldPress community.  In other words, I don’t feel scared or worried anymore while sharing my points of view in many topics through writings and photographing.

Thus I have arrived at the point to take my blog one step forward.  Lately I have been gradually switching my focus from writing to writing with photos, i.e., photoessay, simply because one photos is equal to one thousand words.

So as said, I will continuously share the essences of my life with my readers, not through the fingers on keyboard but also through the lens of my camera.
