We didn’t plant many kinds of annual flowers or plants in our garden simply because there are a lot of wild animals around, such as deers, ducks, turkeys, etc. Those animals like to consume the flowers / plants as their meals.
The only spring flowers we have is bleeding heart.
The following two photos are macro images of pink bleeding hearts which just started blooming in our flower garden.

The only widely spreading plants in our garden is fiddlehead fern. They started as curled head and gradually uncurling. I heard that this interesting plant is edible but I have never tried to cook them.

We will have peonies and roses blooming in summer, I can’t wait to see them!
Also this weekend is mother’s day, which is also planting gardening day at Minnesota. My plan for this weekend it to buy some annual flowers to decorate our garden.
Thanks for visiting my post!
These macro shots are incredibly beautiful, Yan!
