The trip to Hawaii gives me opportunities to capture the sunset scenes on ocean and above clouds, both of which are new and challenging to me.
While the Sun was gradually going down to the horizon of sea, the reflections of its light in water mixed with the colorful clouds to provide the world with tranquility and harmony. The sunset above clouds is really hard to see since we had to drive up to the altitude over 13,000 ft, onto the observatory stations at Mauna Kea. Even though the weather was hot on the island, it was chill on the top of Mauna Kea. We wore winter jacket (brought from Minnesota) while waiting for the Sun going down.
By the end, I really appreciate the experience.
So many beautiful sunsets. So many beautiful captures. Brilliant work, Yan 😊

I once spent 3 nights observing at the CFHT telescope at the Mauna Kea summit. Good times, and thanks for the visual reminders!
