I went to Minnesota Landscape Arboretum during last weekend, with my DSLR camera and a macro lens.
Here is one of the Surprised moments I captured when I browsing through numerous kinds of plants and flowers – a bee was working hard on a flower named ornamental onion.
I was excited to get a lot of macro photos, but not so amazed by being stung once on the top of my head.
Beautiful image, and I absolutely love the flower. I would never guess that it is an onion.

Hi Yan, beautiful shot, but this week’s theme is “inanimate objects”, neither plant or animal. Can you submit another?

Being stung is definitely the wrong sort of surprise. Lovely photo though.
