I ran into two geese families while walking round Normandale Lake on this sunny Sunday. The geese from two families must be friends since they were not hissing or pecking each other. The goslings from one family are slight older (based on their body sizes) than the goslings from another family. They were eating their own meals while following their parents closely.
After they noticed an obnoxious photographer trying to interfere into their family meals, the geese quickly raised alert, called (I don’t know how) goslings and they started moving as two separate groups. I didn’t want to interrupt their families time so I ran away after quickly pressing shutter a few times.
I always wonder how those goslings (or other baby animals) tell who are their parents, those adult geese look no difference to me.
