OnePhoto Focus – January 2016

Happy New Year to all my readers!

It is also the time for OnePhoto Focus, we are editing a photo provided by Laura Macky Photography.

Here is the original photo,

After coping, I applied one of the pre-sets at Lightroom – aged photo to create an effect of remote ancient time.  Since pre -set was used, the processes in Lightroom took less than 5 minutes to complete.

Then I started thinking to add some colors into the picture, how about rainbow?  I got a rainbow background from internet, and used the background to create an additional layer in Photoshop.  After adjusting opacity and fill, I merged two layers together.  Entire processes in Photoshop took less than 5 minutes to complete.

Here is the final results.

Enjoy, and any feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

  1. So, you are using Lightroom and Photoshop! Interesting…..I’ll have to read up some more on LIghtroom. I’ve got Paintshop vice Photoshop, for my proprietary editor…..Lots to learn. Taking notes from what you share. Happy New Year!

      1. Thanks for sharing that with me! I’m kind of on a very limited budget for the next two years….Every penny has to count but I’ll look into that! I like the Paintshop and Nikon has a sweet little editor app, too! I still use Picasa for quick fun photos for my friends to enjoy but it doesn’t suffice for serious stuff. Keep on sharing! Thinking about standing another site just for the serious work…..This year looks to be one of much education and growth! Last year was one of transition. Will share more about that in a post!
