Beauty in Simplicity

This is the entry to “CEE’S COMPOSE YOURSELF CHALLENGE: WEEK #4 Simplicity”.

My yoga instructor advised that we were living in a very complicated world so we were all trying our best to solve many complicated problems or issues, but it was the most valuable moment that we simplified our activities to touch our true selves.

While learning photography, I was told by books and other photographers that each photo should be able to deliver a story.  Since then a photo with a single object became my favorite.

It might be a person paddle boarding alone on a chill dawn,

or a small boat tries hard to make its way through rough ocean waves,

or another boat rests on a tranquil lake on hot summer afternoon.

Those photos are as simply as one object – focused, but they all have clear goals to tell their viewers stories.
