The lantern display on water at the Great Tang Hibiscus Garden is going on from the 1st of Lunar New Year through 15th. I took this opportunity to practice photographing at night. Carrying my camera and tripod, I was wandering through the crowd to take some pictures. I used low aperture (10 – 15), low ISO (< 200) and very long exposure time (10 – 15 seconds) to achieve the best results at nighttime.
Here is one of the pictures I took, in which hibiscus and lotus flowers made of lights are blooming over the water, to present glory and wealth.
At the end the flowers and their reflections in the water showed up pretty well, and I was pleased with the results.
